A Crazy Night in the Bathtub

We had a crazy bath night a few nights ago. Here are some pictures to prove it.

I'm pretty sure you don't want to mess with him! Remember, he's Irish.

Carson became ok with laying on his back in the tub, thanks to his Daddy.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's more then ok with it, I think he LOVES it since that's ALL he does in the tub now. Swimming lessons start in a couple of weeks so it should be fun for him. He must have his mamma's swimming genes!

He also LOVES to blow bubbles. And this new found trait has also transferred to his milk cup. Oye!

Declan loves to play basketball in the tub and he's pretty good at it too.

And getting him to sit down in the tub is near impossible.

Declan blowing you a kiss goodbye, from the bathtub.

Conked out with puppy.

How do you get 3 boys to simultaneously leave the park?
Make them hold hands!
Works like a charm! I wonder how long that trick will last?

Baseball Night

We got FREE tickets (Thanks Sencore!) to the Canaries baseball game the other night so we decided to take the boys. We were 4 rows up from home plate and there was hardly anyone there so the kids got to be crazy and enjoy the game. We made it through 4 innings before it was time to go.

And I played around with that picture and got this fun effect.

Everyone look at the camera and say CHEESE!

Enjoying the game with his hat ON!

Nothing like football beads and a backwards hat to keep the little guy occupied.

It was cool enough outside that we had to wear pants and jackets. Go Bison!

Another fun effect on a picture.

Enjoying the view at the baseball game.

Carson needed a backpack for school so we headed out and got one this weekend. It's Thomas the Train and he's pretty excited about it.

I've Been Tagged!

I've been tagged by Amy in Oregon.

Hmm, never been tagged before but it seems to be a popular thing in the blogging world. How does it work you ask? Pretty simple actually. Someone lists 10 things about themselves and then they tag others to do the same. So here it goes...

10 things that people don't know about me.

1. The biggest regret I have in life so far is that Trevor and I didn't pack up and move somewhere really fun after college. We came very close to moving to Colorado but chickened out. Now that we have kids its something that can't just happen on a whim. Plus I think grandma and grandpa would somehow force us to stay close. ;-)

2. I love staying home with my kids but the best part of my day is when they are both sleeping and I can have some time to myself.

3. I was a swimmer in high school.

4. I entered college as a Pre-Med major. My freshman year I took Biology and got a D. My frist D! I dropped Pre-Med faster then you could blink and eventually got a degree in teaching.

5. I almost didn't go to college.

6. I've lived in 4 different states.

7. When I was in grade school I told all my friends that I was related to Kirk Cameron. I even gave out fake autographs. Hey, they all believed me! ;-)

8. My first job was as a "sandwich artist" (we were really called that) at Subway. I didn't last very long at that job. I must not have been a very good artist!

9. My favorite movie is Meet the Parents. That's how Trevor got his idea on how to purpose to me. (Kids holding up letters that spelled out...Will You Marry Me?)

10. My biggest pet peeve is procrastination and if you knew my husband you would probably wonder how we ever got married! ;-) Love ya honey!

Ok, well most everyone I know that reads my blog, has already been tagged, except for one person that I can think of. I tag Crissi!

Thanks Amy in Oregon....that was fun!

A Busy Day

Official potty training is going to begin in our house after Labor Day. Carson has been pretty good about going on the potty so we are going to try the whole thing the weekend after Labor Day. I bought him some Cars underwear the other day and when I brought them home he wanted ALL 3 of them on at the same time. Wouldn't you know it took about 4 minutes before he had peed through all 3 pairs. Nice.

I actually got him to wear this out of the house and to the grocery store the other day. Maybe he will make it through the Twins game with it on. I'm not holding my breath though.

Declan being silly with his cups.

Look at my budda belly!

My MOMS Club visited the Cookie Jar this morning. No better way to start our day then with cookies and candies. We got a tour of the place and afterwards we decorated our very own sugar cookie.

I tried to avert Declan's attention away from the cookie with Goldfish crackers. Cause who can resist those crackers?

However, my efforts failed as he quickly noticed the M&Ms and sprinkles.

Mmmmm......good stuff mom.

Tasting his freshly decorated cookie....all this before 10am!

The day got even crazier when I invited 2 of Carson's friends over to play. The Three Amigos had a blast together.

Carson and Treylyn drawing together.

Carson and Sam trying to share the firetruck.

We even managed to have dinner for all of them.

Reason #4 that I may not have any more kids.....my house would NEVER be clean. :-)

Mom and Dad are no fun!

Carson spent the week with his grandparents. He finally returned last night. Now begins the process of un-spoiling him. No more late bed times, rocking to sleep (especially at 4am!), cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner, no more bringing toys to the dinner table and no more having your toys to yourself because little brother is around now and he wants them too! Man, we sound like a bunch of party poopers don't we? I wonder how long it will take to get him back to "normal?" He's been here just about 24 hours and its already been a challenge (it took 90 minutes to get him to nap today) but that's ok I know he had fun with his grandparents!

We did have fun with Declan this week. Here is some of what we did.
Took our 10 month pictures.

Played with a bunch of toys and didn't have to worry about Big Brother stealing them away!

Played catch!

Such a little devil.

Vacation

We made a swing through both parents last week. It was nice to get away and spend a few days relaxing. Here is some of what we did.

Grandma and Grandpa Cameron took us on a 4-person bike ride. It was a little crazy but lots of fun.

Declan tried to be the driver for awhile.

The boys had a blast.

Afterwards we enjoyed, a much deserved, bite of ice cream.

Nothing like cuddling with your mama.

At Grandma and Grandpa Lee's house it was so hot that Carson jumped right in the pool.

No better way to cool off then being in the water......

with bowling pins and a rubber ball. What a combination.

Afterwards we took a ride on the 4-wheeler. There was even room for Delcan.

I think Carson went about 74 more times after that for a ride, no kidding. Grandpa even found him a helmet that was only a little too big. Sideways helmet wearing is the new look.

Here is a video of our crazy bike ride.
It's about 4 mins. long.

And one of Carson enjoying the pool.

Joy in a Sandbox

It's a tough day around here. The bridge collapsing in Minneapolis has been hard to watch since Minneapolis is our "hometown." Grandma and Grandpa Cameron were at the Metrodome last night and, THANK GOD, made it home ok. All of our other friends were accounted for, lucky for us, everyone was safe. We do send out our thoughts and prayers to those killed, those still missing and those injured. May them, and their friends and families find peace in God's Love.

On a much lighter note. The boys are doing great. Carson has a new BFF (Best Friends Forever). :-) Sam! We went to Sam's house last Friday to play and Carson has not stopped talking about it since. Every time we get ready to go somewhere or get in the car he asks if we are going to Sam's House ("Am's Howse?") I was so glad yesterday that we could finally see him and they could play together but it hasn't slowed his talking about Sam down one bit. This morning he asked if we were going to see Sam and when I told him no we were going to our friend Kalli's house. He talked the whole way there about "Kolli's Howse." This talking thing sure is interesting and makes for great conversation.

Here are some pictures of the kiddos.

Declan has decided that hanging out in the sandbox is a pretty fun place. The other day I caught him dangling over the edge trying to get in.

He likes to find the big rocks. It takes lots of concentration.

Once he's got one in his tiny little hand.....

It usually goes straight to the mouth. Yummy!

Carson usually likes to try and bury his cute little baby feet.

And the other night we looked like this after some time in the sandbox. We went straight to the tub.

We went to Craft Day the other day. Declan enjoyed hanging out eating his Goldfish while we painted.

Carson decided the best way to clean up after painting was to go head first into the pool with his clothes on.

So we came home in just a diaper (and our sandals) and jumped right into the sandbox. How can you go wrong?

All Clean!
I think my bathtub is turning into the sandbox after all the baths post sandbox.

Hmmm, I think I see a Computer Geek in our future.
