Boo!

I'm at home tonight with a baby. A cute one who doesn't look like a newborn anymore.
We're doing laundry, sweeping floors, peeing in our eyes (him, not me) and passing out candy to the neighborhood kids. The boys are out with Trevor collecting as much sugar as they can, I'm anxiously awaiting their return so I can enjoy some goodies I remember so many Halloweens that involved winter coats, hats and mittens but not tonight, it's in the 60s!
I started the day out dealing with this. That's the school parking lot and that's where Spiderman landed after I drug his thrashing, flailing body through the parking lot. This fit, which is more common lately, lasted all the way home and through my attempt to feed him lunch. He missed lunch and instead was thrown in his crib. Two year olds are awesome. And you know what the best part is? I get to do it all over again in 2 years. Yay us!!
Luckily Spiderman woke up on the right side of the crib.

Darth Vader!

We carved pumpkins this weekend. The boys had a blast, mostly Trevor.

The boys are back....time for me to dig into the bucket!!

Boo!

November? When did this happen. It feels like school just started and here we are 2 months in, past our first parent teacher conference and looking down the barrel at the holidays. The weather has been fabulous so we've been spending most of our time outside, enjoying the weather, raking leaves, taking walks and taking in as much sunshine as we can.

This past weekend was Halloween and we had a party to go to. Can you guess what we went as?

The Smurfs! Aren't we cute, and blue? One big boy refused to paint his face but the other big boy was ecstatic to have it painted. I was rather impressed with how it all came together. Nearly every piece of our costume came from the thrift store, I made the hats, I borrowed a few items, some we made from supplies at home (Trevor's beard) and one thing had to be ordered online (my tights). Total I would say I spent less them $50 for all our outfits. Who knew I could be so thrifty and crafty, I sure didn't. It was fun and now I feel pressure to come up with something as equally cute and fun for next year.

When we weren't dressed in blue we were enjoying other Halloween festivities like pumpkin carving....in our jammies (even our Christmas jammies...that's how we roll around here).

We couldn't convince anyone to be a Smurf for the actual trick-or-treating though. So we took Optimus and Woody through the neighborhood gathering way more candy then any of us needs.

Bennett tagged along in the wagon.

He sampled the candy and enjoyed a mini pop.

Candy, Candy, Candy

Halloween is like birthdays...it lasts for at least a week and the candy is never ending!

Ours started last Monday with Carson's school party. And wasn't he pleasantly surprised when his BFF showed up wearing a Clone Trooper costume.

Then it continued on Friday with a party at our friends house. And look she successfully corralled all children by letting them watch Garfield. This has got to be the stillest and quietest all these children have ever been when they are together.

And then we carved pumpkins. Neither boy was interested in getting dirty or touching the pumpkin guts.

But they did like the outcomes of our pumpkins.

Especially the ghost pumpkin!

I kind of like the bat pumpkin which was my idea but I have no pumpkin carving ability (hence the ghost) so my talented husband did that one.

And where was Bennett during all this?

Just hanging out sleeping and looking cute in orange.

And then it was FINALLY time to get dressed and go trick or treating.

Oh and try and get a decent picture of them in their costumes.

But it seems that maybe the sugar high hit before we had any sugar.

Its hard to concentrate when you are SO EXCITED!

Good thing they are cute!

And then we were off

And then we came home with this. And now I'm trying to pawn this off on whoever will take it!!

Halloween Extravaganza

I've got a ton of Halloween pictures from the last week. We've been so busy raking leaves that I haven't had time to get them off the camera. And since I refuse to do anymore raking until ALL the leaves are off the trees I now have time to get these pictures going.

Our Halloween festivities started the weekend before Halloween with Zoo Boo. Then we had a preschool Halloween party, playgroup party, trick or treating and another Halloween party with friends. Needless to say we are costumed and Halloweened out. But it appears that the boys had a blast and I have about 5 pounds of candy that now needs to find a new home.

Zoo Boo pictures.

I spy a Little Buzz Light Year behind that Batman.

Carson thought this was a HUGE piece of candy corn and he tried to take a bite (not even joking).

Somehow they were both willing to get on the firetruck while it was running.

Pumpkin Carving

Carving the pumpkin. Too bad he wasn't interested in cleaning it out. He doesn't want to get dirty.

Preschool Halloween Party

Carson's class parading through the school.

Carson's class all dressed up for Halloween. I have about a million outtakes of this picture. I thought getting my two together for a picture was a tast. Nope, this takes the cake.

Trick-or-Treating

Getting ready to trick-or-treat.

Aren't they cute?

Here we go.

Halloween Party with friends

Me and my crazy friends at our friends Halloween Party.

The Crazy Boys.....Sam, Treylyn, Riley and Carson.

Declan was enamored with Becky's clown costume. I'm not sure he realized it was her but he sat with her for quite awhile.

Singing a little karaoke.
